EMU Black is one behemoth of a stand-alone ECU, designed with the most advanced and complex engines on the market today in mind, Along with custom build projects where only a class leaning ECU will suffice.

During the predecessors lifetime, ECU Master were able to amass a tremendous amount of data that significantly improves their ability hone both their hardware and software to suit their customers not only with looks and fitting of the EMU Black, But also the usability and programming, The EMU Black is a dream to use and set up.  

The EMU Black is developed with road cars, track cars, race cars, superbikes, track bikes and even racing boats in mind!

The EMU Black allows control of fueling, ignition and auxiliary processes on a multitude of engines with up to 12 cylinders including drive-by-wire and variable valve timing set ups.

ECU Masters adaptable firmware allows even the most awkward crank trigger patterns to be utilized, giving you the ability to install your EMU Black knowing that even in the future when new trigger patterns are released your ECU will adapt and will not need to be upgraded. The ECU Master EMU Black can drive up to 12 smart coils (6 passive) directly and has no need for external amplifier/power modules of any kind.

You will also have access to easy to install firmware upgrades completely free, forever! Which will improve system capabilities over time with engines that are still to hit the market, allowing new strategies, trigger patterns & CAN data streams to be utilised.


The EMU Black features more value while maintaining the highest levels of quality than any other aftermarket ECU. With advanced drive-by-wire strategies provide huge ranges of throttle control alongside detailed fault/error checking. The EMU features the best "bang for your buck" of all stand-alone ECU options. Easily matching all available functions of any stand-alone management systems with various inputs, outputs & options. Unlike other stand-alone systems, EMU Black has a built in wideband input using the Bosch LSU 4.2 and the LSU 4.9 sensor wired directly to the EMU Black, MAP control connection utilizing the on board 4 bar MAP sensor, Along with not one but two EGT probe inputs!! As well as an input that enables you to directly connecting a Flex Fuel ethanol content sensor. 

ECU Masters EMU Black package allows for greater flexibility while reducing costs and removes the need for external/additional control systems saving you time and money on your ECU purchase and the associated wiring that other stand-alone ECUs require


To ensure reliability and longevity the EMU Black is manufactured to conform to IPC-S-815A standards and an optical inspection is carried out to ensure perfection in all EMU ECUs. Special surface coatings and IP60 Enclosure ensure the EMU Black remains operational in even the harshest environments maintaining normal functioning whether the tempurature is -40˚C or as hot as +105˚C!
